Identification+
A drivers license or other official picture ID, (such as a Military ID card) along with positive proof of address are required for all rentals. Customers who do not live in our general rental area will be asked to leave a security deposit. This deposit amount will vary depending on the item being rented, and must be paid by cash or credit card. A local job site address and phone number will also be required in some cases.
Payment+
All rentals are to be paid in advance, unless a charge account has been established with us. Payments may be made with Master Card, Visa, Discover, local checks or cash.
Equipment Breakdowns+
We strive to keep our equipment in top working order at all time. "Murphy’s Law," however, says that problems sometimes can and always will occur. If you ever have any problems or questions about the items that you rent, please call us right away. Many problems can be solved over the phone. In some cases we may need to provide a replacement or substitute item. We will do everything possible to help you finish your job in a timely and efficient manner.
Delivery+
Delivery service is available at a rate based on mileage from the showroom/warehouse. Please make arrangements at time of reservation.
Deliveries are made to ground floor or within a reasonable distance of the truck. Set-up/knock-down service and delivery to other than ground floor is available at an additional charge. Arrangements must be made in advance.
On pick-up, all equipment is to be stacked, folded or bagged and returned to the same place as delivered.
Equipment is usually picked up the day after the event (excluding holidays).
Reservations+
We accept reservations on both equipment and party items. Some items, including, but not limited to tents, canopies, and moonwalks, may require a non-refundable reservation deposit. This deposit guarantees the item you want will be available for your function.
Damage Waiver+
This is a fee that is added to all contracts automatically; if you wish to reject it, you must do so when you are picking up the item(s). Damage Waiver covers:
"If you pay the damage waiver charge (DWC) as specified, subject to the limitations and exclusions below, Rental City, Inc. agrees to modify the terms of this contract and relieve you of liability for accidental damage to the rented item(s) on this contract, and for loss due to fire, collision, windstorm, upset, and riot. We exclude from this waiver any loss or damage due to theft, burglary, misuse, or abuse, theft by conversion, intentional damage, mysterious disappearance or any loss due to your failure to care for the rental item(s) as a prudent person would their own property, such as proper lubrication. In addition, a further condition of this waiver is that you must file a report to the proper law enforcement authorities and furnish us a copy."
Damages and Cleaning Charges+
Customers will be charged for broken, damaged or missing items. A charge will also be made for all boxes and containers not returned.
Rental Periods+
Minimum - All items have predetermined minimum rental periods. Some items, such as lawn equipment, are 2 hours; others have 1/2 day, but the majority are 1 day.
Half Day - Any four-hour period or overnight weekdays.
Month - Any twenty-eight consecutive days. Rates quoted upon request.
Payment for Party Supplies+
All orders are to be paid in full at time of delivery unless prior arrangements have been made.
Tables and Chairs+
Our standard delivery service does not include set-up or take-down of table and chairs. This can be arranged at an additional cost. Tables and chairs should be knocked down and stacked for pick-up.
Overnight Rentals+
Equipment rented during the last hour of business and returned during the first hour of business the following day will be charged an overnight rate equal to four hours plus the number of hours on the hour meter, if any, beyond the number of hours included in the rate.
Sale of Items+
We sell nearly everything we rent. However, accrued rental charges do not apply toward the purchase price.
